There’s been a clear focus in optimising Teams calls, with updates including an additional layout for Teams Rooms and more refined options for video display.
A new audio feature in Teams, high-fidelity music mode lets Teams users enjoy richer sound experiences when sharing non-speech content such as live music, songs through apps, and more. The feature also significantly enhances the audio quality in calls and meetings.
Although meeting attendees can see the text in your video correctly, you cannot as the text would be flipped. Well, this is no longer an issue as there is now an option to un-mirror your video so you can see the text in the correct format. To do this, go to ‘Device Settings’ and toggle off ‘Mirror my video’.
Designed to improve hybrid meetings, the new front row layout provides in-room attendees with more context of what is taking place across various aspects of the meeting. Remote attendees are viewed at eye level and the additional meeting features such as chat and raised hands are brought to the front of the room screen.
For conference rooms with more than one camera attached in the space, participants in the room can switch between cameras. Admins also have the option to set a default camera from the device settings to be used when starting a Teams meeting.
